Islandview offers technical riding through beautiful old forest. This area will appeal to the old-school cross-country rider looking for an engaging ride. The trail network is on Crown land and is conserved as wildlife habitat. Bears, northern goshawks, and white-tail deer are common sights.
While the forest is managed by the Maritime College of Forest Technology the access is through the Government’s provincial tree nursery. Riding is only available outside of working hours (after 6:00 pm and on weekends). Riders park at the Nursery office and must take care to follow the approved route through the facility. No unleased dogs and do not ride through the tree orchards please!
