River Valley Cycling and Crabbe Mountain have officially inked a strategic agreement that will see the two organizations collaborate in partnership on future mountain bike trails and events. The partnership is going to benefit riders by securing access to approximately 400 acres of prime terrain with over 240 meters of vertical drop – opening up whole new possibilities for riding in the region. Crabbe Mountain offers a single, supportive ownership group that shares RVC’s interest in sustainable trail development. Crabbe Mountain will benefit by having a proven non-profit partner in RVC that can open up new possibilities for the resort to cater to summertime users in the future, further diversifying their operations.

Currently, Crabbe Mountain has 7.8 kilometres of existing, volunteer built and maintained mountain bike trails, that are primarily advanced black diamond rated.
Crabbe Mountain on Trailforks.comCrabbe’s trails have recently enjoyed some terrific time in the spotlight from Into the Gnar. The new partnership allows RVC members access to maintain the existing trails, lays the groundwork for a more diverse and progressive trail network for all levels of riders, and puts a shared risk-management plan in place to ensure long-term, secure access for both organizations.
There’s potential at Crabbe Mountain for much more. Recently the world-renowned trail design team at Gravity Logic evaluated the area and developed a plan that envisions a huge new development. Both Crabbe Mountain and RVC are excited to see where this could go. We’ve agreed to jointly explore funding opportunities.
This partnership represents a significant step forward in establishing the Crabbe Mountain area as a four-season recreation destination and strengthening New Brunswick’s reputation as a mountain biking hub in Atlantic Canada.
