TrailFlow Women’s MTB Clinic
Due to its popularity last year; Michelle and Ryan from Trailflow Outdoor Adventures are hosting two women’s mountain bike clinics in Fredericton. These clinics will be held at Woolastook Park and participants of all ages & levels are welcome to come and learn a variety of new skills with a fun and supportive group.
The clinics will cover trail riding safety, high and low speed cornering, body positioning for flat ground riding, climbing and descending, pedal positioning and ratcheting techniques, front wheel lifts and more. Come join this RVC sponsored event for an awesome day of riding and meet other women riders in the area.
Hurry! There are only a couple of spots available in both clinics.
Trailflow is conducting the beginner/intermediate clinic on Saturday May 20 and the intermediate/advanced clinic on Sunday May 21
We are all keen to get back on our bikes but we ask that you keep in mind that riding when the trails are muddy causes erosion that takes a lot of work to fix. Please do your part to minimize trail damage by not riding when the trails can’t take it. If you leave ruts, don’t ride is a good general ‘rule of thumb’. In the meantime, if the trails are muddy, why not do some trail work or get some miles on a dirt road adventure ride?
Trail Days
There’s more to building a trail than moving rocks and dirt. Trails are usually part of larger systems that are the result of careful and diligent planning and collaboration. These trail systems must serve the needs of multiple user groups and take environmental and geographical factors into account.
RVC would like to see all cyclists that use the trails participate in maintaining and building them. Trail days are social, so be sure to join the Mountain Bike Fredericton Facebook Group to see when days are posted/scheduled and join your fellow cyclists in improving our trail systems.
